We
see our place as a centre for the community of Malvern East,
an
open and inclusive place for people of all ages, and
backgrounds.
Come
and browse through our pages. Consider joining us for worship on any
Sunday.
Or, if you want to use the buildings, check out the great suite of rooms
and spaces you
can book.
If
you are considering getting married, you
want to have a child baptised or
blessed, or you are wanting a good venue for the funeral of a
loved one, you will find the information through our many pages in the
menu on the left.
You
will also find pages that give you information on youth events,
the adult fellowship group and book
club, and links to the many community
groups who
have already discovered the centre and decided to make it their home!
If
your interested, check out our links to other Uniting
Churches in
the region, and our Progressive
Christianity page.
HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SERVICES 2012
Holy
Week begins this with a special Combined service on the 1st of
April, here at our Centre at 10.00am.. Our fellow
Stonnington Uniting Churches will join us to celebrate Palm/Passion Sunday, and stay for morning tea.
From
the 2nd to 4th April you are invited to “Holy Week Contemplation” at Ewing
Memorial, at 7pm each day. This is held in conjunction with the My Spiritual Journey Art Exhibition.
On Holy Thursday you are invited to bring
finger food for a shared AGAPE meal, as we remember the events around the Last
Supper. This year it will begin at 1.00pm
(for lunch!) so that more people can attend.
Good Friday begins with a service at 9.30am. This will finish in
time for people to attend the ecumenical Stations of the Cross at Central Park at 11.00am.
Easter Sunday celebration service is at the usual time of 10am.
You
are invited to come to any and all of these services!
